There's so much promise in a new year. I'm taking things more slowly this year, not rushing from one thing to another without ever stopping to breathe, think, or experience. In the spirit of slowness, I'm STILL working on my penguin colony. Last night I got them all sewed and stuffed, but I didn't manage pictures. I still need to make a few outer garments and then they'll be done.
If you haven't seen it yet, get on over to Myra's and sign up for her New Year's postcard swap! It will be fun! The deadline is 13 January, next Friday.
I leave you with a random photo, unrelated to anything else in this post:
I took this last week in Sedona at the Arts Center, it's one of their outdoor sculptures. A crow or raven, very serious looking. I don't think I'm trying to make any symbolic statement about this coming year. Sometimes a crow is just a crow.
I'm in the same frame of mind, Amanda. Last year flew by- I want to slow down and savor this one. I'm signed up for the postcard swap- I hope we'll get paired up! I think your crow looks like a rooster. Of course, I'm not seeing it in it's entirety. Wishing you joy for 2006!

My New Year's resolution last year was not to rush so much. Of course, I didn't fulfill it because I was rushing around so much I didn't have time. It was a good resolution, though.

Ahhh, to slow down and breathe. I have to remind myself to do that too. I get totally consumed by my creative inspirations and forget to do other things like cook dinner and take the dogs out. All things in moderation. hehehe
