Thanks for sharing your spider stories. I am deathly afraid of spiders too. Mostly just one specific type that we have in Hawaii called a cane spider. Its like a skinny tarantula that can move really fast. When I was about 12 I was sitting next to my Dad in the car while we were stuck in traffic and a cane spider crawled out of the air condition vents and onto the dash in front of me. I am still surprised that all my hair didn't turn white right then and there!

Awww, you poor thing! Story #2 really sounds scary! I'm sorry you don't like spiders. At least you tried! I rescue spiders that come up my shower drain. I send them out the window. And I apologize profusely to the spiders when I go about knocking down their webs. I hate to do it, but if I don't our house looks like the Munster's! I don't like snakes, though.

When my parents were first married, my dad had a dream about a spider. I guess it was a big, hairy, very threatening spider, so he picked up his foot and kicked that spider as hard as he could... and my mother went flying out of bed. It's been 45 years, and my mother still remembers that dream!
